Over the past three years, our company has invested heavily in research and development, specifically developing an anodic oxidation coating capable of withstanding particularly harsh operating conditions involving surface loads and repeated temperature fluctuations.
The testing was conducted specifically by manufacturing clutch discs to replace traditional steel ones. To achieve a critical level of use, we also received support from several world championship motorcycle racing teams until we achieved maximum resistance and replaced components only as a preventative measure.
This was subsequently applied to the industrial sector, where we manufactured sliding sleeves for pneumatic piston valves, achieving more than 5 million opening and closing cycles, beating the customer’s previous record of 2 million. In addition to reducing wear on the sliding O-rings, the temperatures developed due to friction by the dynamic sealing systems were significantly reduced, leading the customer to offer greater product guarantees to end users, thus creating a new product family.
This testing ultimately led us to patent the coating.
